HUEHOCO GROUP – We are consolidating our coating operations in Germany, thereby strengthening our competitiveness in Europe

The internationally operating HUEHOCO GROUP is consistently continuing its strategic transformation process. While our markets in North America and Southeast Asia remain stable and continue to demonstrate strong growth, we are realigning our activities in Europe with a clear focus on the future.

Given the currently experienced industrial decline in sales and revenue prospects all over Europe, we are planning to consolidate our German Coil Coating activities at our site in Bad Salzungen. Maintaining an economically sustainable utilization of two German Coil Coating sites cannot be considered feasible in the long run. In a market environment characterized by rapid change, rising costs, and increasing competitive pressure, we regard this consolidation as a necessary and responsible step. Our objective is to pool our strengths, simplify structures, and deploy resources in a strategically organized manner, thus creating sustainable value.

By choosing this path, we are consistently laying the foundation for further developments in and for Europe. Efficiency, technological expertise, and delivery capability will be further strengthened. At the same time, we will enhance our resilience to market fluctuations ensuring that Europe therefore remains an essential part of our otherwise internationally oriented Group Strategy.

The decision represents a proactive step in creating ways ahead and reflects our responsibility towards the entire Group as well as our business partners. Times of profound change cannot be overcome by “business as usual”. It is simply not an option. That is why we are deliberately shaping our future with a clear focus and a solid economic foundation.
