The topic of sustainability plays an important role for HUEHOCO. We do everything we can to work with environmentally friendly solutions – or to develop environmentally friendly solutions whenever possible. One example of how successful we are in this is certainly MEFOFLEX.
Saved at the right ends
MEFOFLEX is an innovative way of rubber coating of metals. It is made possible by our newly developed rubber extrusion line. This enables us to apply foamed elastomer layers in layer thicknesses of 200 to 2,000 ÎĽm in a single pass – and on one or both sides, which means enormous energy savings. CO2 emissions from high rubber layers can also be massively reduced in this way. In addition, this system enables us to save around 96% of the solvents in the coating process in direct comparison with conventional processes used by our competitors – a significant contribution to sustainability and environmental compatibility.
