TRAIBER.NRW
HUEHOCO GIVES FULL GAS FOR TRANSFORMATION
Shortage of skilled workers, electric mobility, smart control and entertainment systems – the list of challenges facing the German automotive industry is long. At the same time, pressure is growing from other manufacturers, particularly from Asia in general and China in particular. The TRAIBER.NRW project was launched to ensure that the Bergisch automotive industry does not fall behind.
WHAT IS TRAIBER.NRW
Universities, associations and companies, many experts in the automotive industry and related sectors are based in and around the Bergisches Land region. Together, they want to drive forward the transformation of the automotive industry in the Bergisch region – TRAIBER for short. To this end, they pool expertise and support local companies in responding to the aforementioned challenges with modern production methods, excellent networking and digitalization as well as a holistic strategy.
FIRST PROJECT PART SHORTLY BEFORE COMPLETION
As an important partner of the automotive industry, we are of course also taking part in TRAIBER.NRW. The project is divided into several milestones. The first, the inventory, is now nearing completion. To this end, we and the other participants completed a questionnaire, which was used to determine the level of maturity with regard to various core characteristics. These features include, among others:
- Strategy
- Management systems
- Products
- Production
- Organization
- Personal
- Suppliers
- Customers
- Cooperations
- Promotion
OUTLOOK AND OPINION
The comprehensive analysis of the current situation forms the basis for all further actions. Following the evaluation, the most important fields of action will be identified in workshops. Concrete measures can be derived and implemented from these. “We are certain that this project will provide valuable impetus for the entire Bergisch automotive industry to remain internationally competitive,” emphasizes HUEHOCO Managing Director Dr. Mark Herriger. “As a traditional Wuppertal company, we are all the more pleased to be able to give something back to the region and contribute to its economic success.”
