HUEHOCO shows potential of the Wuppertal location in WDR-Lokalzeit
Economic opportunities despite bureaucracy, environmental regulations and dilapidated infrastructure? Even if the signs for Germany as a business location were already better, we have always seen the advantages that the Bergisches Land offers us. In this context, our Managing Director Dr. Mark Herriger was interviewed by WDR Wuppertal for the Lokalzeit. In the interview, he makes it clear why we will continue to hold on to the site in the future.
German locations offer production security
“We have an extremely good relationship with the city of Wuppertal,” emphasizes Herriger. This is evident in the open exchange we experience with the local authorities during approval procedures. Customers are also interested in HUEHOCO continuing to produce nearby. Low transportation costs and reliable material availability independent of geopolitical risks play a key role here. As a traditional Bergisch company, we are also aware of our responsibility towards our 200-strong workforce.
Non-stop success
The extent to which HUEHOCO and the city of Wuppertal benefit from each other became clear last year when we were named Company of the Year at the Wuppertal Business Awards. The award underlines the fact that the Bergisch region has the ideal structural conditions for both innovation and economic growth.
